OUR PARTNERS

Lots of people have supported us, and Monroe’s Tavern, Jack Nohilly of Classic Tiles, Tom Cunningham of Cunningham Electric, and Paul Carey of Carey Construction were all crucial in supplying and outfitting our current base. Prior to getting this base, Claddagh Watch Patrol worked out of the back of a van which wasn’t really suitable, and it was impractical. Getting the base was essential to the continuance of the patrol.

Jury’s Hotel has provided toilet facilities and coffee since we started – they also allowed us to put an AED in their foyer which was huge. The Connacht Hospitality Group have been amazing with advice, setting up a website, having Claddagh Watch Patrol as one of the charities of the year, and so much more.

Specsavers in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, Penneys in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, and HP Galway each had us as their charity of the year in 2022. Medtronic Galway also held a fantastic summer fundraiser on August 13th, 2022 with the ‘Dancing with the Stars Mervue’ event. Spanish Arch Car Park have offered free parking, while we must also thank Eyre Square Shopping Centre – they have allowed Claddagh Watch Patrol to have a stand in the centre on a regular basis to create awareness, sell merchandise, accept donations, and recruit.

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES & PAST EVENTS

Claddagh Watch Patrol is a charity, which means that we regularly need to raise funds – and we have often done this in the past.

For example, we held a Remembrance Ball in December 2019 as well as the Golf Day in the Galway Bay Golf Resort, on July 21st, 2022. In addition to this, we have had a stand in the Christmas market for a week, and on seven occasions we had a stall in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, which is a brilliant opportunity for us to sell merchandise, accept donations, recruit, and raise awareness.

Our own initiative to raise funds is vital, but we require a lot of assistance to finance our important work keeping the waterways safe. Thankfully, we have a fantastic community of supporters across the city and county of Galway who have consistently helped us in immense ways.

So many of these events have raised vital money for Claddagh Watch Patrol – helping to ensure we can continue to do the work we do. Some of these events have included the Remembrance Ball; Viatris Galway’s €18,700 fundraiser; Galway Motorbike Enthusiast’s €4,200 donation, Botown’s €2,700 charity night; Creggan Medical’s €8,300 fundraiser; as well as a number of University of Galway events – Groovy Tuesdays, Psych Society, and another two groups.

PARTNER WITH US

There are so many ways that your company can get involved and partner with us.

Maybe you’d like to arrange a fundraiser? As you can see, this can easily be done – and so many of our partners have helped us raise funds needed to buy equipment, organise upgrades, and so much more.

Perhaps you’d like to free up some space of yours so that we can set up a pop-up shop to sell some of our merchandise? This would help us gather the funds needed to further our mission and continue the Claddagh Watch Patrol story.

HOW TO DONATE

Donating to the Claddagh Watch Patrol is incredibly easy, but most importantly it’s crucial to keeping the waterways safe.

iDonate is our preferred method of making donations. Over the years, there have been so many events run by the public, groups, and businesses – many of which have used iDonate, which makes our jobs of collecting funds easier and more seamless.

If you’d like to donate to us, you can do so through the link below. All donations are very greatly appreciated, without your support we cannot continue to do what we do.
